UNCHOR OS Fees, Cancellation and Refund Policy
Version 2026-10-23. Effective 23 October 2026.
This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It explains how SyncPesa Technologies Limited charges for UNCHOR OS, and how cancellation and refunds work. It covers what you pay us. It does not cover what your own customers pay you for Wi-Fi: those payments go directly to your payment accounts, and you set your own refund rules for them under the Operator Agreement.
1. Prices
- The plans, what each includes, any per-gateway fee and any percentage fee are shown before you subscribe and under Billing in the app.
- Prices are shown with an explicit currency code. We do not convert currencies silently; if you pay in another currency, your payment provider shows the conversion and its rate before you confirm.
- Taxes such as VAT are added where the law requires and shown separately on each invoice.
- We give at least 30 days' notice in the app or by email before a price increase takes effect for you. You may cancel before it takes effect.
2. Free plans and trials
Free plans and free tools may have limits, which are shown where they apply. A free plan does not turn into a paid plan without your explicit choice. If you were invited by another operator, you may receive free days as shown in the app; we tell you before they end.
3. Invoices and payment
- Invoices are issued for each billing period, numbered in an unbroken sequence and sent by email with a PDF. They are also available under Billing.
- You can pay by M-Pesa or card in the app; other ways to pay, when offered, are printed on the invoice. A payment is matched to its invoice only after the payment provider confirms it, and you receive a receipt.
- Invoices are due by the date shown on them.
- We never store your card number. Card payments are handled by the card processor's hosted checkout.
- An issued invoice is never changed. A correction is made with a credit note that refers to it.
4. Late payment
If an invoice is unpaid by its due date we remind you in the app and by email. If it is still unpaid 14 days after the due date, we may pause the features that sell access at your Locations until it is paid. We do not delete your data or switch off your network for late payment, and customers who already paid keep their access until their pass ends.
5. Cancellation
- You can change your plan at any time under Billing. A change takes effect from the next invoice.
- To stop paying altogether, close the workspace under Settings → Privacy & data. No invoices are issued for periods after it closes. Fees already invoiced for a period that has started remain due, except as section 6 provides.
- Before you close, you can export your data at any time under Settings → Privacy & data.
6. Refunds
You receive a pro-rata refund of fees you paid in advance for the remaining period when:
- we materially reduce a paid feature you rely on, and you cancel because of it
- you cancel because you do not accept a change to the Terms or to our prices
- we close your account without cause
- we charged you in error or charged you twice
We also refund any amount the law of your country requires us to refund. Otherwise fees already paid for a billing period that has started are not refunded. Refunds are paid to the method you paid with; card refunds can take a few days to appear.
7. Disputes about a charge
If you believe a charge is wrong, contact the contact form at https://unchor.co.ke/contact (topic: Billing) within 60 days of the invoice date. We reply within 5 business days. Please talk to us before raising a chargeback with your bank, so we can fix the problem quickly.
8. Referral credits
Referral credits, when offered, reduce your own invoices with us. They are not money, cannot be withdrawn or transferred, and expire as shown in the app. They are earned only for real, active workspaces, as the referral programme rules in the app describe.
