UNCHOR OS Acceptable Use Policy
Version 2026-10-23. Effective 23 October 2026.
This policy is part of the UNCHOR OS Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses UNCHOR OS: account holders, their staff, API keys, approved partners, and members of the Academy community.
UNCHOR OS gives you real control over networks. Use it only on networks, connections and equipment you are authorised to manage, and only in ways that are lawful where you operate.
1. You must not use UNCHOR OS to
- Use, share, resell or charge for any network, internet connection or equipment you are not authorised to use, or bypass another network's access controls, passwords or payment pages.
- Intercept, record or inspect other people's traffic, messages, credentials or browsing. UNCHOR OS does not provide this and you must not add it.
- Track or count people who have not joined your network, or identify people from their devices without a lawful basis.
- Send messages to people who have not agreed to receive them, or ignore an unsubscribe or STOP request.
- Collect payments under false pretences, impersonate another business, or mislead customers about price, speed, data allowance or duration.
- Attack, scan or overload networks or systems you do not own or are not authorised to test, or spread malware.
- Evade the rules of your internet provider, a regulator or the law, including licensing, lawful-interception and data-protection obligations.
- Discriminate unlawfully against customers, or deny refunds the law requires.
- Post content in the community that is unlawful, harassing, hateful or sexually explicit, or that shares other people's personal data or credentials.
- Get around UNCHOR OS's safeguards, limits, approvals or the isolation between customers, or test our security outside the Security and Vulnerability Disclosure Policy.
- Use data obtained through UNCHOR OS, including anonymous totals received as a partner, to try to identify a person, a business or a site.
- Use UNCHOR OS automation or AI features to make decisions about people that have legal or similarly significant effects without a person reviewing them.
2. Security testing and diagnostics
Diagnostic tools in UNCHOR OS (such as connection tests, discovery and performance tests) may be used only on networks and devices you own or are authorised to test. Intrusive tests, traffic generation and discovery outside your own network need written authorisation from the owner of the target, and UNCHOR OS limits them by target, rate and duration.
3. Safety-critical systems
Do not rely on UNCHOR OS as the only control for equipment where a failure could injure people, such as medical devices, industrial machinery or fire systems. Those need certified controls of their own.
4. What we do about misuse
Depending on how serious the misuse is, we may remove content, pause a feature, return a site to private (non-selling) mode, revoke an API key or partner access, suspend an account, or close it. Where the law and safety allow, we tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem first. Where the law requires it, we cooperate with a regulator or court that lawfully asks us for records, under the Government and Law Enforcement Request Policy.
5. Reporting misuse
Report misuse of UNCHOR OS to the contact form at https://unchor.co.ke/contact (topic: Report misuse). Report security vulnerabilities as the Security and Vulnerability Disclosure Policy describes. We acknowledge reports within 2 business days and do not reveal who reported.
